Frequently Asked Questions
On average, how long are the weddings you officiate?
You’re here to party and so are your guests! Your ceremony will be a quick blast of the most intense, celebratory fun you can have in under 20 minutes.
We’re super nervous about everything going right. Do you do rehearsals?
A rehearsal is already included in the package if you need it. I’ll be the first to tell you it’s not totally necessary. We do so much prep ahead of time to keep the ceremony vibe real and flexible and to help you feel cool as a cucumber on the big day. I promise your guests will be focused on the fun, not the minutia. Let’s chat through it to see what you really need.
Nicole, you’re exactly our kinda person and we need you to do our ceremony! Are you available for destination weddings outside of British Columbia?
At this time, I’m only legally registered to officiate in BC. But you gotta admit it’s a pretty gorgeous corner of the world. I can’t recommend it enough as *the* place for your wedding. I’ve lived here for 20+ years and know all the best wedding vendors and things to do with your guests. I’m the destination! Haha. Of course, I can also go with you anywhere to officiate. It just won’t be official if it’s somewhere other than BC.
So what’s a wedding celebrant/wedding officiant?
I’m certified and trained in the art of creating personalized ceremonies. I’m like a master chef of wedding-memory creation. Instead of bland party appetizers, I specialize in cooking up heavy-hors d'oeuvre celebrations that fill you to bursting - with joy!
How is that different from a wedding commissioner?
Wedding commissioners are required by law to follow what’s *in my personal opinion* a super generic and totally scripted ceremony format. I mean if you want the generalized “love is blah blah” special - then that’s for you. But we already know that’s NOT what you’re looking for.
